Nursing home neglect is a serious tragedy in our society, a marring scar in the fabric of who we are as human beings and the result of a significant misfiring in priorities. Poor hygiene is one of the most obvious signs of it, which can range from teeth that have remained un-brushed for days at a time, the lack of clean clothing, clothing with soil marks on them, soiled sheets, a lack of proper bathing, a foul aroma emanating from the patient, and of course filthy surroundings.

Hygiene neglect is a horrific form of neglect, and the instant that poor hygiene is detected, a nursing home neglect lawyer should be contacted immediately. There is simply no excuse for allowing a human being to sit mercilessly in their own waste, when it would have only taken a moment to assist the individual to the bathroom to begin with.

Insomnia is a symptom; it is not related with some diagnosis or disease. It may be the result of inadequate quantity or quality of a sleep. It is related with a sleepless night.

Insomnia is classified on the basis of duration of the problem -

2. If the symptom of insomnia lasts between a week to three weeks then it is said to be short term insomnia.

3. If the insomnia lasts for more than three weeks then it is classified as chronic insomnia. Continue reading ‘Natural Insomnia Remedies to Improve Quality of Sleep’ »

Heredity, diet, lifestyle choices or prescribed medications may upset your hair follicles thus causing damage to them. Special care should be taken while choosing your hair care products. If hair care products claim that they are natural, do not get carried away. They may contain synthetic emulsifiers and harsh detergents such as phosphates, ammonium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and may deprive your hair of its essential nutrients.

Use such products only with your doctor’s prescription. Do not go by what is written on the product. Develop healthy eating plan, consume lot of water and make use of good hair care product. Stimulate hair growth by stimulating your scalp. Make use of massage therapy to stimulate your scalp. With blood circulation, you can give your hair its much needed nutrients. Make use of gentle and circular motions while massaging your scalp. Continue reading ‘Tips To Take Care Of Your Hair!’ »

As someone who has gone through a cancer diagnosis myself, I know that after focusing so much time and energy on treatment and on surviving, once treatment is finished, you find yourself at loose ends. Family and friends, relieved that it’s over are usually more than ready to get back to whatever normal was before your diagnosis. But like all heroines who are forced to fight battles in unknown lands, you have returned from your journey changed. While the physical geography of your outside world hasn’t changed, your interior landscape has.

Because of your cancer experience, you now know as never before how precious life is. And it begs the question: how do you want to spend the rest of your life? If you’re like many survivors, the answer is “thoughtfully.” Some of the women I work with following a cancer diagnosis turn their lives upside down, while others discover that their lives are exactly as they want them. Still others adjust certain areas of their lives, to find more fulfillment. But almost all of them, in my experience as a life, business and results coach, use their diagnosis as an opportunity to examine their lives. They look at what is working, what isn’t and begin navigating the next stage of their heroine’s journey.
