Plus, companies that provide quality pet health insurance, such as Pets Best, are providing pet owners with the financial ability to pay for the most effective treatments in the battle against cancer.

You see, we should be very thankful that we are born in this modern generation because of the existence of the Internet. With the Internet, every information (whether about asbestos lung cancer or any other such as cosmetic dental, white light teeth whitening, custom whitening trays or even whitening light) can be found with ease on the Internet, with great articles like this.
Certainly, teeth whitening kits purchased from the local pharmacy are not as effective and result yielding as the bleaching based teeth whitening procedure. A dentist will have advanced tools and equipment for certain kinds of teeth, which yield better and instantaneous results. However, if you are after an economical way to whiten your teeth, teeth whitening products will do the job for you, albeit gradually. Continue reading ‘Asbestos Lung Cancer Helpful Information’ »

Your blood circulates throughout your whole body. It supplies food, oxygen, hormones and other chemicals to all the body’s cells. It also helps to remove waste products and is important in fighting infection and in controlling bleeding. Blood consists of 60% plasma (fluid) and 40% blood cells. The three most important types of cells are red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. Although we think of blood as a fluid, it is actually made up of both fluid and cells. These can be seen under a microscope.
Bone Marrow is the “blood cell factory” which is found filling up the cavities of bones. All blood cells originate and are produced from a single “stem cell” whose progeny grow and mature into different types of blood cells. This stem cell can and does renew itself as required by our body.
Red blood cells (erythrocytes) carry oxygen from your lungs to all parts of your body. If you don’t have enough red blood cells you have anemia. Continue reading ‘Structure and Function of Blood and Bone Marrow’ »

Treating cancer is always very difficult, dangerous and painful. People have to go through a lot of suffering and pain, to have any chance at all. When lung cancer is not discovered early, then in most cases the patient sooner or alter ends up dying. The last moments of a cancer patient is are always very painful. But should this really be that way? Is chemotherapy treatment for lung cancer the best option?
We would all like to think, that doctors look out for our best interests and use treatments, that are the most effective. But unfortunately this is not the case, especially when it comes to treating cancer. The reason is very simple – money. Drug companies make huge profits selling drugs and other less expensive methods like natural cures and alternative treatments, would rapidly decrease their profits.
These days you can find drug ads everywhere, it is all about profits and how effective these drugs really are does not matter. In 2001 different drug companies spent around 15.7 billion dollars on TV and print ads. The message of these ads are very simple, “got a problem, take drugs.” Continue reading ‘Chemotherapy Treatment For Lung Cancer – Is it Your Best Option?’ »

Four years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. The cancerous tumor could not be felt by me or my gynecologist or the surgeon who performed my mastectomy. My film mammogram and my ultra sound were inconclusive, but I had a radiologist that wouldn’t stop. The tumor finally showed up on a diagnostic mammogram. It was difficult to see and impossible to feel because the tumor was in the back of my breast close to the chest wall. I am one of those very fortunate women who have not become a statistic. Over 40,000 women die every year from breast cancer. Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths of women in the United States. (Lung cancer is first.) While there are no guarantees in life, there are measures to take to give you an edge.
There are two types of screening mammograms: digital and film. Get a yearly digital mammogram. They are more definitive than a film mammogram. A digital mammogram takes an electronic image of the breast and stores it on a computer. Images can be enhanced and brightened for a clearer reading by a radiologist. Digital mammograms use less radiation than a film mammogram. A film mammogram takes a picture of the breast on film, like a picture. It can’t be altered, magnified, or brightened. Mesothelioma is primarily caused by long-term, regular exposure to asbestos. People who have been exposed to asbestos insulation in the workplace have a higher death rate than anyone else from this type of cancer. In fact, they are about three hundred times more likely to die from it than those who are not in regular, direct contact with it. In some cases, people who were exposed to asbestos in the workplace have family members who develop the disease. This is thought to be possible because the workers bring the asbestos home on their clothes and their family members are in direct contact with it.
Pleural Mesothelioma, the most common form of the cancer, is thought be caused from the inhalation of asbestos dust. The fibers of asbestos are so small that the lungs are not able to filter them, allowing them to embed in the tissue of the lungs and form into cancer. Sometimes Mesothelioma is located in the lining of the abdomen. This is called peritoneal Mesothelioma , and is thought to be caused by ingesting asbestos. Asbestos can be ingested by eating food that has been contaminated with asbestos. Continue reading ‘Asbestos, The Deadly Time Bomb’ »

There is, by now, sufficient evidence accumulated to make the correlation between cancer and earth energies strong enough to warrant serious consideration. No longer is it enough to dismiss such claims as some ‘New Age’ mumbo-jumbo, especially since the hard evidence has been around for nearly 100 years.
It began in 1929 with a careful investigation of a small German town to find out why so many of the inhabitants died of cancer. It had the highest death rate from cancer in the country. Each of the beds of the deceased was subsequently found to be directly over a line dowsed independently, under careful supervision. The line was a line of geopathic stress.
‘Geopathic stress’ is a term used to describe a wide variety of energies arising from the earth in one form or another. The most common originates from underground water which creates a narrow but highly potent band of energy which can be measured and recorded by sensitive instrumentation. This energy can severely disrupt the functions of the nervous system leading to cancer as well as other serious diseases. Continue reading ‘Cancer's Relationship With Location’ »

Prostate cancer is the male equivalent of breast cancer, which plagues millions of women. Fortunately, a little precaution can reduce the dangers of prostate cancer, and might even help save your life. It is crucial for men to pay attention to their health, especially as they age. Prostate cancer is the third major cause of cancer-related deaths in men. Many men do not realize the severity of this hazardous disease and fail to receive regular prostate checkups.
Prostate cancer starts with the growth of a malignant tumor inside the prostate gland and spreads by extending into the bladder, seminal vesicles, and peritoneal cavity. It eventually metastasizes to the bones, lymph nodes, lungs, liver, and kidneys. The cause of prostate cancer is unknown, although recent studies find a small relation between increased testosterone levels and high dietary fat intake. Prostate cancer is rarely occurs in men under 40 years of age. The highest level of occurrence is greatest in African-American men over 60 years old. Increased occurrence is also associated environmental exposure to cadmium, a metallic element. The lowest incidence of prostate cancer occurs in vegetarians.
