Well you can lose weight very rapidly by going on a very low calorie diet. If you have the willpower the weight will drop off at first. Great you think. This is the diet solution that I have been looking for. It is very motivating to get fast results but unfortunately there is a huge downside to this way of dieting.
First of all your body very quickly gets used to less food and automatically tries to conserve as much of the energy from food as possible. The result being that you need to eat less and less to sustain weight loss.
More bad news-with a really low calorie diet you start using up valuable muscle. Something that you want to avoid as the more muscle you have the better your body is at burning fat. Anyway , you only have one life. Sure you want to lose weight but I promise you that the very best way to do this may be boring but really is the only way which will give you lasting results. Aiming at a steady rate of about 2 pounds a week will give you great results. Losing this amount is achievable because
We are all human beings who interact socially. You need a diet that fits in with your lifestyle. If you aim for 2 pounds a week you will still be able to go to nights out etc and not feel deprived.In other words you can still enjoy life!
