So many people in the world suffer from allergies that it is often hard to completely get away from them, no matter what kind of medications you might be prescribed by your physician.

Most allergy symptoms can be seen from spring to the late fall because the majority of allergies can be attributed to grasses, pollens, and different kinds of mold. Most grasses, flowers, and molds cannot grow during the winter time.

One of the most troubling aspects of hidden food allergies is that we tend to crave what we are allergic to. As you scanned over the list of allergens on the previous page, did you recognize any of your favorite foods? If you have been experiencing some of the symptoms of allergies, you may be creating these allergic reactions through the foods you eat.

Even though you want to eat anything and everything, sometimes you have to face your allergies and just your life under control. Once you start to feel better you can then re-introduce the food allergies back into your life little by little and see how your body will react. KILL  THE  CANCER  RIGHT  AWAY

Dear Friend

Disease knows no boundaries.  It doesn’t discriminate
and it isn’t bigoted.

Cancer, for instance, strikes anyone of any age,
and of any race or social background.  Cancer will
find you whether you lead a healthy or unhealthy
lifestyle; whether you’re physically fit or out of
shape; whether you exercise regularly or are a
couch potato; whether you’re rich or poor, male or
female; whether you’re a vegetarian, pescetarian
or meat lover; and whether you’re an adult,
adolescent or child.

DID YOU KNOW… that 1 out of every 3 adults in
America already has cancer?  But most of them
don’t know it yet because the cancer is
undiagnosed and undetected.  According to the
American Cancer Society, there’s a 41% probability
that an individual, male or female, will develop
cancer in his or her lifetime (or die from it).
Additionally, every human being has cancer cells
existing in the body which are just seeking a
low-oxygen environment where they can multiply
into the full-blown disease. Continue reading ‘Kill The Cancer Right Away’ »

More and more children suffer from allergies nowadays, particularly eczema and asthma. These two allergies are linked genetically-a condition called atopy, which also includes hay-fever. You can see the link clearly if you look at an embryo: the bronchial tract, where the asthma and hay-fever manifest themselves, and the skin are derived from the external layer, which is called the ectoderm.

The body is vulnerable to invasion by two kinds of alien environmental panicles. Living invaders include bacteria viruses and fungi. Nonliving ones, called allergens because they set up an allergic reaction, include pollutant chemicals, dust particles, pollens and various foodstuffs.

The body’s immune system detects these invaders as alien because they have different chemical or protein structures. It fights living particles by producing antibodies, which destroy them by clinging on to their membranes so that they can’t reproduce or function (the principle used in vaccination)..Non-living particles can only be neutralized and thrown out of the body through an allergic reaction, such as a skin rash, sneezing watering eyes or nose, mucus discharge or diarrhoea. Getting relief from spring allergies begins with understanding how your own body works and making a conscious decision to take control. Yes, you can do something to help your situation. Suffering is optional when you apply the 3Rs technique: Recognize, Reframe, and Reclaim.

RECOGNIZE what’s going on. Start by taking stock of your situation: What are you feeling at this time of year? Can you pinpoint what substances trigger allergy symptoms for you? Then ask yourself what you have done about it in the past that has actually worked: What lessens your symptoms, and what relieves them completely? An allergy is how your body reacts when it finds an imported alien it does not like. The body’s response is to tell you it has been invaded when your nose becomes blocked, eyes start itching or running and your lungs burn or cause you to start wheezing.

Allergies that are inhaled are caused by substances that are airborne; you come into contact by breathing the air in the environment you live in. The 4 biggest trouble makers are dust, pollen, pet fluff and mould.

House dust collects everywhere. Allergy sensitivity to what is in the dust varies between individuals, but the main cause of the problems is the house – dust mite. This virtually microscopic relative of ticks and spiders is not what causes your allergy. It is the fecal substance they eject on their journey around your carpets and furniture and the bodies of dead mites lying in the dust that activate your reaction Continue reading ‘Are Allergies Ruining Your Life?’ »

Sinusitis can be very harmful if not treated properly. It is difficult to decipher between acute sinusitis and chronic sinusitis, but no matter what the case, chronic sinusitis treatment is available through your doctor.

Sinusitis is defined as an inflammation of the tissue that lines the small cavities in the skull. These cavities are normally filled with air. This problem can be very painful and uncomfortable. The mucus that normally flows through these cavities becomes clogged and stopped up so that the passages become swollen with mucus and can sometimes become infected. The proper way that this nasal passage system functions is for the mucus to remove the dust and allergens from the nose before they have a chance to enter your lungs. But of course, this will not happen when the air filled cavities swell up like this.

The common cause for sinusitis normally starts with a cold. The signs and symptoms of both colds and sinusitis are generally the same. Acute sinusitis is the milder kind of sinusitis, lasting usually no more than 2 to 4 weeks, whereas chronic sinusitis can last from months to years. It is not easy to diagnose chronic sinusitis, but it generally stems from a cold or allergies. Continue reading ‘Treating Chronic Sinusitis’ »

Everyone knows that allergies cause sneezing, itchy, watery eyes, and nasal congestion and that for some people these symptoms can be more severe than for others. For these people allergies can feel like a curse, making them feel sleepy, irritable and downright miserable. There are many medical explanations for allergies, including the theory that the body is overreacting to the typical allergens.

But there’s one other reason why some people with allergies are more affected than others, and this has to do with their jaw size. If you had normal-sized jaw anatomy, then it’s less likely an allergy attack would bother you; in fact, it’s less likely you’ll even have allergies in the first place. Let me explain. Personal Story…

I was a first time mother. With labor a few weeks early, my baby girl was a bit small but healthy. It was only when she turned one years old, that we noticed something was wrong. The red cheeks, dark bags under the eyes, dry skin and cranky child, she just looked sick.

I am not sure how we thought of going to an allergist. Neither my husband nor I have much allergic histories. My husband did have some asthma as a child, but he outgrew it a while ago. I had a sister who was mildly allergic to eggs for a few years of her childhood… that was all. Could my daughter be allergic?

We were shocked but relieved to find the answer. After her first skin test done, she showed positive to eggs, milk, oats and beef. No wonder, she drank 6 bottles of milk a day! We took these results at face value (only later finding out that these tests are not always 100%) and began to learn to read labels and watch what she ate. She did improve, her face and eyes looked healthier…but her skin, it was dry, itchy and red. We discovered she had eczema. Was it a result of what she ate? Or was it a separate condition? The next two years we spent going from pediatric dermatologists, to top pediatric allergists. We did allergy blood work tests followed by skin tests. Results showed positive to tens of foods, including eggs, milk, fish, chicken, potato, banana, sesame, soy, and legumes; and now showed negative to beef and oats that were originally positive.
